Employment opportunities at Compass Rose

Compass Rose School is a certified non-public school through the California State Department of Education. The school serves ages 7-18 place in the residential setting. The student-to-staff ratio is approximately 1 to 5. Currently, Compass Rose School operates in two different locations. The Barton Road campus ( Placer County ) is responsible for the educational needs of the six students place in that house. The Mountain Ave. campus ( Sacramento County ) serves the 12 students placed at the Aksarben house and the Mountain house. Credentialed teachers along with trained teacher's assistants provide a structured and safe environment conducive to learning which focuses on each child's needs in the areas of cognition, social, emotional, behavioral as well as academic goals. All curriculum is based on research and aligned with the California State Content Standards. Goals and objectives are developed based on each individual child's needs and support the state standards. Compass Rose also incorporates a school-wide behavior plan which serves to provide the structure and intervention techniques needed to maintain a positive learning environment for all students.
